There is no point to saying I don't know how to - *insert whatever
you don't know here*.
If you're interested in moving into a new field or moving further into your present field, don't
be intimidated because you have the power to learn. In addition, information is so readily available that you can teach yourself
almost anything if you have access to a library or a computer.
The only real limits on people are the limits they impose on themselves. If YOU say that you
can't swim, you will never swim because you have DECIDED that you can't swim.
The minute you say I can accomplish anything, all of your learning power is unleashed. You never
lose, because life is a constant transition of energy. If something is attempted and does not result in success, it does not
mean you have lost. It means you were engaged in active learning, and it's time to take a different approach because the previous
elements were not the right mixture.
You only lose when you quit, or stop. The only person who can decide to stop is you (but you'll
never make that decision).
There are only two places to be; successful, or in the process of being successful. Stopping,
quitting or anything else is not an option.
The best ideas will always take time to manifest the corresponding empires. Exams may have to
be taken once, twice, three of four times before you actually pass them. In the meantime you are just in the process regardless
of how long it takes.
Sometimes we underestimate the power to learn and other times we completely ignore it. A person may indicate to a group of friends that he or she is interested in becoming a real estate agent.
Most respond by saying; “What do you know about real estate?”
Another member of the group may share his or her interest in becoming a chef, to which they respond; “That’s
a bad idea, you’ve never cooked a thing in your life and you’ll probably be a terrible chef.”
Consider someone walking into an elementary school and asking the five year old students what they want to be
as adults. If a five year old said “I want to be a doctor”, would it be reasonable to respond by saying “What
do you know about medicine?”
If another five year old student answered the question by saying “I want to be a lawyer”, would
it be reasonable to respond by saying “That’s a bad idea, you don’t know anything about law so you should
choose something else.”
The five year old children can study and learn about whatever they are interested in; therefore, expecting them
to know everything about their particular areas of interest is absurd.
It is just as absurd to expect a 17 year old, a 27 year old or a 57 year old person to know everything about
a subject that interests them before they start studying it. Doing so is equivalent to completely ignoring the power to learn.
You have the power to learn and anything that you are interested in can be mastered with time and practice as
you acquire more and more knowledge about it. Embrace the voice that encourages you to learn new things and be motivated knowing that you have the power to learn.
If you're in the process of being successful it's only a matter of time before you are
successful.
